Registration is now open for the first Annual Pat Johnson Masters Championships New Jersey.
What happens if I don’t get matched up?: You will receive a full refund. We do our best to try to get everyone at least one match, unfortunately it doesn’t always work out.
What happens if I’m matched up but my opponent doesn’t show?: We will do our best to find you a last minute opponent but if we are not able to, you will have two options. 1) we present you with a Championship belt as a walk over do to your opponent no show. Or 2) We give you a full refund.
Bout Sheets: will be released the week of the tournament. These will not be final, like I said before until weigh-ins are complete Saturday we will only hope that everyone shows up. How ever they do give you an idea who is scheduled to compete Saturday and a rough idea who will compete Sunday. I want to make it clear things can change, you might be scheduled on Saturday but your opponent drops out last minute, we might be able to get you a bout Sunday so just be aware things can always change.
Do I get a refund if I drop out?: No, we have a no refund policy. We have committed and will go through the tournament regardless, we need the same commitment from you. We don’t have many sponsors so most expenses are paid out of pocket. We rely on that entry fee money to be able to pay the bills, trust me there are many.
Boxing Gear: We provide the boxing gloves, you are responsible for all other equipment. This includes a USA Boxing Master Approved headgear.
What if I don’t have a Coach with me?: We will have coaches ready to help you out. Do to number of bouts and how busy things will be, you will more than likely have to use hand wraps instead of gauze and tape if you do not have a coach with you. Make sure you have some hand wraps with you.
LOCATION: Showboat Atlantic City / 801 Boardwalk / Atlantic City, NJ 08401 (Venue is on the first floor of the hotel. When you come in through the main entrance turn to your left and walk down to the event entrance.)
TOURNAMENT DATE: March 23rd and 24th, 2024
BOXER REGISTRATION COST: $150.00 none refundable unless we are unable to get you a match.
Friday March 22nd – Meet and Greet 6pm to 8pm (optional)
Saturday March 23rd – Weigh-ins are at 9am with bouts starting at 1:00 pm. Doors will open for the public at 12pm.
Sunday March 24th – Weigh-ins are at 9am with bouts starting at 1:00 pm. Doors will open for the public at 12pm.
Just so you are aware, our meet and greet Friday is optional but I will need everyone to check in by text or e-mail to let me know you are on your way or you are in town ready to go. We want to be ahead of any issue that can present itself. Text = 818-743-3843 e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
Weigh-ins: you only weigh-in the day that you compete. If you are only scheduled to compete on Sunday you only weigh-in on Sunday. If you are in a full bracket, you need to weigh-in Saturday and if you win you need to weigh-in Sunday morning as well. Schedules are the same for both Saturday and Sunday, Be at the weigh-ins at 9am sharp, we want to get you guys and gals in and out so you have a chance to get something to eat or what ever you need to do before the tournament starts. We will weigh you in by the bout numbers. We will have two different lines, one for each ring. This will speed up the process and also let us know if some ones opponent no showed or if there is any issues like someone missing weight.
Doctors will be there at 9:30am so you can go from weigh-in to bout physical and out.
Coaches will need to check-in before bouts start in order to get their band that shows they checked in and can corner their boxer. This is a USA Boxing Sanctioned event so all rules apply. If your paperwork is not inline you will not box. If coaches are not up to date or are missing on-line classes you will not corner your boxer. This is nothing new so let’s not play any games.
If you are dropping out please let me know as soon as possible. I know life happens but be thoughtful of your would be opponent, don’t leave us hanging please.
Doors will open at 12 noon, if you have family or friends with you, they will need to step outside the venue at 11:30am in order to have a proper opening and allow anyone that needs to buy a ticket get that done.

Pre-sale ticket prices are as follows:
1 day general admission = $25
1 day Ringside admission = $35
2 day general admission = $40
2 day Ringside admission = $50
At the event, general admission tickets will be $30, Ringside $40 at the door.
