DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 2025 San Jose CA Masters Boxing Sparring Camp. This camp is geared towards helping master boxers be able to spar and network with other master boxers. This is a great get together for all skill level but especially for those who are wanting to compete for the first time. Normally we are the only master boxers in our gym and rarely get to spar with other masters and really see where you are skill wise vs someone else in your age group. Here is your chance to spend a weekend and spar with other masters. “Pick on someone your own age!” lol well here you go. \nWHAT TO EXPECT AT THE CAMP?\nThe camp is 2 days with both days starting at 10am and ending at 2pm. The first hour and a half will consist of stretching and a warm up\, followed by techniques that will help you both in sparring and competition. From footwork and side movement to controlling distance\, counter punching and head movement. We will then take a 15 minute break followed by a light warm up with some sparring drills then what we came for\, Sparring!. \nThe sparring will be a round robin so you will get to spar with all the camp participants. The sparring is controlled and will go to the level of both boxers being comfortable. Train\, Work\, Spar\, Lets go!!!! \nVenue location and more coming soon.

SUMMARY:New Jersey Camp
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the 2024 New Jersey Masters Boxing Sparring Camp held at the Showboat hotel in Atlantic City New Jersey. This a two day event that features training\, techniques\, and the different approach of sparring and competing. This is a unique camp that features sparring\, not only that but sparring with other master boxers. We all know how difficult that can be so this is a great way to gather with other masters\, learn and execute in the ring with fellow masters. \nA detailed breakdown will be e-mailed to you once you register but here is a quick run down. Both days will begin at 9am and run to 1pm. We will go over a stretching and warm up program that is so important to help avoid injury. Then we will go into offensive and defensive techniques that you can ad and use with your own style. This will include footwork\, Head movement\, Distance and technique. \nSome of the issues master boxers sometimes have is not being able to train or spar as often do to work\, location or other obstacles. I will be showing you a way to get the closest thing to sparring that you can get and you can travel with. You have to attend the camp to find out. \nLast but not least\, sparring. We will be doing a round robin style sparring so you’ll get a chance to spar with all the attending masters. Sparring is controlled and will be at a level that you can handle. Boxing is a contact sport and too often we see a new boxer get hit for the first time and all training goes out the window and it’s survival mode. We want to give you a leg up on the competition by learning how to react when you get hit and apply your training in competition. \nSaturday night we will do a group dinner. \nTHE BREAKDOWN \nDATE: November 16th and 17th 2024 \nLOCATION: The Showboat Hotel 801 Boardwalk\, Atlantic City\, NJ 08401 \nCOST: $300 / Includes a room discount at the Showboat \nTIMES: Saturday and Sunday Start at 9am to 1pm (1 on 1 training with Manny available from 3pm to 6pm) \nSATURDAY DINNER: 7pm (Restaurant TBD)

We will teach some very important fundamentals such as footwork\, head movement\, offensive and defensive techniques and how to incorporate them into your boxing style. Sparring will be controlled and supervised at all times. Sparring will also be filmed and will be used to learn to breakdown film both for yourself improvement and how to view and study your opponents video. For many of you the opportunity to spar with other master boxers is slim to none\, here is your chance to dance in the ring with other masters.\n\n\nFor those who have the challenge of a gym being hours away\, we will show you the best and closest thing to sparring that you can do at home that will give you a great work out and will put you in the closest thing to sparring possible.\n\n\nRegister on Monday and don’t miss out!!!!
